Weeks 73 to 78 (continued)

One thing that I'll never forget from this trip is the people that I met along the way. The enjoyment taken from a country or otherwise depends to a

major extent on the folk you meet inside that country. The most impressive scenery is easily negated by an unfriendly population. On the otherhand, thoughtful, helpful and sincere inhabitants can render the most barren of landscapes invisible to the memory.

I'd like to therefore indulge for once, and say from my heart, a monumental
THANK YOU to all those I met along the way who contributed in creating the wonderful memory that has been left from this trip.

As a parting, reassuring note, the people who bind this planet together are generally the average citizens, like those met on this trip. It's the politicians who screw things up.

Fortunately, the type of guys I met should outlive the short-term stains left by politicians.
