Australia is big. And don't accept anybody else's description for it.

Owing to the local wildlife's love for after-dark tarmac warmth, driving at night is recommended only for the roadtrains and suicidal nutcases. And as the "jet propulsion" option hasn't been chosen for the truck, daily mileage is limited. Coupled with the vast distances, this means going from A to B takes days rather than hours.

Not to worry. Life's not for rushing.

Australia is full of snakes of all varieties. This placid variety (the "Shredded Rubberius Tyrius") is found mainly in outback regions, and exhibits a specific passion for the sides of roads. Not very poisonous.
