A little home experiment here, suitable for families of all ages. Venture off and unravel that spare sleeve on the jumper that your Grandma knitted 20 years ago. Now find a map of southeast Asia and lay it out on the kitchen table.

Gather the unravelled wool into a tangled bundle, and then, standing on a chair next to the table, drop it on the middle of the map. Trace where it lands.

This has been my route through SE Asia so far, as well as for this part of the diary.

Sukhothai - the original capital city of Thailand.

A place to loose yourself to history.

First, it was from Chiang Mai to Sukhothai, the first capital of the Thai kingdom. After becoming at one with the masonry work, it was time to join a car rally for a couple of days.
